From July 17 to 24, 2026, the 10th Anniversary Summer Opera School was successfully held at Petnica Research Station. Once again, the program brought together talented young singers, high school students, and university students of classical voice from Serbia and the region.
During seven days of intensive work, the participants improved their vocal technique, stage performance, and musical interpretation through workshops, individual lessons, and public rehearsals led by distinguished professors and artists. Ten years of continuous work have shown that the Summer Opera School is an important educational program, giving young artists the opportunity to develop their skills, gain stage experience, and grow as performers. During the school, four themed concerts were held, where the participants performed a wide range of solo songs, oratorio works, and opera arias. Each concert had its own artistic theme and gave the audience the opportunity to enjoy the progress and achievements of the young singers.
The final gala concert was attended by Mr. Pavel Voronin, representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Belgrade, and Mr. Nemanja Martinović, Director of Petnica Research Station. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of supporting young artists and pointed out that programs like this help shape the future of opera. They praised the high quality of the school, the dedication of the teachers, and the commitment of the participants, expressing their belief that many of these young singers will have successful professional careers in the future.
