SUMMER OPERA SCHOOL 2025: The place where opera grows!

We invite young singers—students and pupils of solo singing—to join a unique seven-day program that blends art, education, and nature, all within the inspiring, academic setting of the Petnica Science Center.
Why the Summer Opera School?
The Summer Opera School was created to offer young artists a space for artistic growth, experience exchange, and intensive work with superb mentors in the field of opera. Our goal is to encourage and empower a new generation of opera singers and music educators through a structured learning approach, creative workshops, and public performances.

What can you expect?
- 7 days full-board accommodation in the comfortable facilities of the Science Center
- 3 intensive workshops per day (solo work, stage interpretation, vocal technique, ensemble, improvisation)
- Participation in concerts and open rehearsals throughout the school
- Opportunities to perform in front of an audience and connect with peers from across the region
- Work with renowned lecturers and artists from the world of opera and classical music

Lecturers:
- Violeta Pančetović Radaković – Professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade
- Nataša Jović Trivić – Principal opera singer of the National Theatre Opera in Belgrade
- Dušan Matejić – Actor, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade
- Milan Nedeljković – Resident Conductor at Terazije Theatre
- Dragan Stevović – Director of the National Theatre Museum in Belgrade
- Natalija Stanković – Opera Director
Piano collaborators:
- Dragana Anđelić Bunjac – Piano collaborator at Madlenianum Opera and Theatre
- Marko Bogdanović – Piano collaborator at “Stanković” Music School
Participation Fee:
Amount: 350 EUR
This donation covers all expenses: accommodation, meals, workshops, and participation in concerts.
How to Apply:
To apply, please prepare the following repertoire:
- Two arias by early masters or oratorio arias
- Two solo songs by Serbian composers
- Two solo songs by foreign composers
- Two opera arias
