The sixth edition of Summer Opera School will be held from 8-18 of July, 2022, at the Hotel “Tiski cvet” in Novi Bečej. This year’s Summer Opera School is taking place in cooperation with the Cultural Center Novi Bečej, and under the auspices of Creative Europe as part of the project “Opera: Past, Present, Perfect!”

A well-coordinated team improves the work of the Summer Opera School each year, based on surveys of our students, so this year, as well, we have taken care to upgrade our work by creating rich content and good entertainment alongside with intensive work. Renowned lecturers taking part of our school, with their presence and knowledge, contribute to the Summer Opera School entering the rank of European and world schools. This year, our students will have the opportunity to perceive the profession from different perpectives and encounter exceptional artists and pedagogues.

For the first time this year, we have the honor to announce the masterclass of maestro Srboljub Dinić, who will work in parallel with the Summer Opera School with students of the project “Opera: Past, Present, Perfect!”, young professionals who have proven to be mature and responsible young artists, rising onto professional scene in huge leaps.

In Novi Bečej, a beautiful town on the Tisa River, our students will have the opportunity to present themselves to an audience that  fallows and supports young artists through various cultural events. Excellent working conditions in the Cultural Center and appealing accommodation of the hotel “Tiski cvet” will enable us full commitment to work and perfect results.

With this project we want to help young singers to round off their knowledge, learn that artistic singing requires intellectual involvement, experimentation, searching, expansion of boundaries, awareness of the instrument, self-control, permanent training.

We want to encourage them to approach the profession in a modern and dynamic way, always insisting on quality and preserving traditional values, bringing opera closer to young audiences and helping the development of opera audiences while promoting opera art.
